Troubleshooting and support

Location, diagnostics and connectivity.

Checking for positioning and compass errors

Access: "Settings → Diagnostics". The page shows permission to access the location, network status, latitude and longitude, location accuracy, altitude and its accuracy, and available magnetic or geographic directions. You can indicate missing data and a device without a compass separately.

If you don't have your own position, check the phone's location service and the app's permission, then see if new coordinates arrive. If it works in the foreground, but not with the screen locked, check the space access allowed in the background separately. On Android, "General → Use browser sensor" can also be an alternative direction data source.

The value indicating inaccuracy shows the uncertainty of the measurement. The high accuracy setting does not guarantee an accurate GPS signal under all conditions.

Testing notifications

A test notification can be started in the notification section of "Settings → Diagnostics". If the test doesn't appear, check the app's notification permission in system settings.

If the test works, but there is no signal when approaching a location, check the "Watched Points → Proximity notifications" switch, the radius of that point, the background location permission, and the waiting time between signals. The separate switches for area signals are on the page "Settings → Alerts".

Coordinate averaging

Access: "Settings → Diagnostics → Tools → Coordinate averaging". The page shows the current position and the averaged position calculated from the measurements separately.

  1. Open the averaging page and check the current location data.
  2. Tap on “Start averaging”.
  3. Monitor the number of measurements, the elapsed time and the averaged coordinates.
  4. Complete the collection with the button "Stop averaging".

The device calculates results from several measurements, but does not verify the absolute accuracy of the coordinate. The altitude and accuracy data shown on the page are included if provided by the location source. The feature does not require searching for a separate Tools page in the main menu: the user entry point is the Diagnostics section.

Log and queue sharing for error reporting

Access: "Settings → Developer log". The tab "Log" shows the operational events of the application. With the top buttons, the log can be shared as a file or copied; a separate copy of an entry may be available.

The tab "Queue" shows tasks that have not yet been completed, such as updating, submitting or saving to the cloud. The lines show the time of creation, attempts and the status of the next attempt or waiting for Wi-Fi. If there are no remaining tasks, it indicates an empty list.

To report an error, describe which page you performed, what action you performed, what happened, on which platform and version, and whether there was an internet connection. The version number of the Contact and the related log fragment can help in identification.

About, version and news

Access: main menu → "About". Tapping on the version number opens the list of changes for that version. If the app detects a new store version, it can also display a separate upgrade offer.

You can download the list of the "Video tutorials and guides" page again with the top refresh button. Tapping on a help opens its corresponding content. Availability of the given external content is also required for viewing.

App notifications, privacy and connectivity

The received application messages can be viewed in the list "About → Notifications". An unread number may appear next to the About line. A notification can be opened, deleted from the list; depends on the target content associated with the message.

"Privacy Policy" opens a separate information page. About also includes social links and connection options, such as Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube.

Cafe and support functions

Access: native Android or iOS app main menu → “Café”. The Cafe is not displayed in the browser's main menu. Occasional subsidies and regular monthly packages can be selected on the site; the actual products and prices are shown on the current interface.

Regular support in the native mobile app includes Google location search and route planning with the built-in key. Occasional support is not the same as monthly entitlement. You can also use your own OpenRouteService key for route planning, but this does not unlock mobile Google location search. The browser version allows you to use both services with built-in access, without monthly support; availability of services remains a condition.

For a previous supporter subscription, the operation "Café → Restore subscriptions" can be used. If the authorization is not displayed, check whether you are using the appropriate store account for the given platform; the management of the store subscription is also linked to the platform's own interface.

Help and FAQ in the app

Access: main menu → "Help". On the home page, you can browse by topic, open frequently asked questions, or search using the search engine. The search engine also searches the full text of guides and short answers, and can be used without an accent. When entering multiple words, the result must contain all the words you are looking for.

Open a topic and choose a guide. You can return to the reading page with the back button; the top search icon opens the help home page. You can also proceed directly to the detailed guide from some of the frequently asked questions.

The help is displayed in the language set in the application. When changing the language, it stays with the topic you are currently reading. In addition to Hungarian, English, German, Romanian, Slovak, Serbian, Croatian, Slovenian and Ukrainian versions are also available. It is included in the native application package and can be read offline. Internet is required for the first load in the browser; additional topics of the help already loaded in the given run can be opened without a connection. This does not mean that the entire web application can be restarted offline.

At the bottom of the home page, the link "Web version of help" opens the separate, simple HTML pages. These can be read on the public website without JavaScript. In the case of an incorrect topic title, the app shows an option leading to the home page; you can try opening again after a loading error.
